I built GreedyFearful because I was frustrated. I spent months looking for a simple tool that would alert me when Bitcoin drops by a percentage — within a fixed timeframe. I couldn't find one that didn't make me jump through hoops first.
Binance has only basic 24H dip alerts — no email or Telegram delivery. Coinbase supports percentage movement but with no timeframe control. GreedyFearful is the only tool that lets you set a drawdown threshold (e.g. −8% from the 7-day high) and receive alerts via Email, Telegram, or Discord — with no app, no KYC, and no API keys.
The problem with most Bitcoin alert apps
Most alert tools I tested needed me to install their app and sign in first. In some cases I had to do KYC just to set up a notification. KYC. For an alert. That felt completely wrong.
Some tools also required API keys of the exchange platform. I find dealing with API keys very risky. There have been cases where API keys were misconfigured — buy/sell permissions were accidentally enabled — and then the user's wallet got drained. :( For a simple notification service, there is no legitimate reason to need exchange API keys at all.
What I found when I tested Binance alerts
Binance does have an inbuilt feature to set up notifications, and it's the first place most people look. Here's what the alert panel actually looks like:

Binance alert options — there is no way to set a percentage dip over a 7-day window.
It has "24H change is down" which is the closest to what I wanted. But there isn't a way to just set a dip alert by percentage with a fixed timeframe like 7 days.
Besides, I have to keep the Binance app installed on my phone and it doesn't deliver alert notifications via email or Telegram. It only sends mobile push notifications inside the Binance app itself. If I uninstall the app or lose my phone, the alerts stop.
What I found when I tested Coinbase alerts
Coinbase does allow setting up notifications for percentage dips — which is better than most. Here's what it looks like:

Coinbase's "Moves below" alert — supports -2%, -5%, -10% but measures from the moment you set the alert, not from a rolling high.
But it doesn't allow considering the time factor — like a percentage dip within 24 hours or 7 days. The alert fires from an absolute price level, not a rolling high. Once it fires, it's done. You'd need to manually reset it every time.
Also, there's no email delivery. No Telegram. Alerts are push notifications in the Coinbase app only.

What a rolling window dip alert actually means
This is the thing most tools get wrong. Here's the difference in plain terms:
Coinbase: "Alert me when BTC moves below $95,000" → Fires once. Then it's done. GreedyFearful: "Alert me when BTC drops −5% from its 7-day high" → Fires automatically whenever a meaningful dip occurs. → If BTC hits $110k next month, a −5% drop fires again at $104.5k. → You never need to reconfigure it.
As a hodler or accumulator, I'm not trying to catch one specific price. I want to be systematically notified whenever the market offers a meaningful entry. A one-time absolute price alert doesn't do that.
What I built instead
These things made me frustrated. As an investor I didn't find a comfortable tool with a sleek UI that would let me set up notifications via email on percentage dips within a fixed timeframe.
So I built one. GreedyFearful is a tool for hodlers, accumulators, and disciplined investors. You pick your threshold (e.g. −8% from the 7-day high), enter your email address, and that's it. No password. No app. No API keys. When Bitcoin dips, you get an alert on Email, Telegram, or Discord — whichever you prefer.
